Introduction to Project Management

This course is intended to provide the learner with an introduction to project management and the key considerations when selecting a methodology.  An overview of two approaches (Waterfall and Agile) will be provided along with a more in depth focus on the PRINCE2 methodology.  The learner will complete quizzes throughout the course to demonstrate their learning.

• identify the difference between Business as Usual and a project
• understand terminology related to project management
• identify project management methodologies
• compare the benefits and limitations of project management methodologies
• explain the key PRINCE2 roles
• demonstrate an understanding of PRINCE2 themes, principles, and processes
• define the key PRINCE2 project controls
• understand the basic functionality of various project management software tools
